We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Program Manager to lead our program operations in the Middle East. This is a senior level position within DSC?s team that will be responsible for total program performance and accountability.
This role requires a well-rounded customer facing professional with experience managing a large portfolio of projects. This is an ideal position for candidates who have senior program management experience or for those looking for an opportunity to showcase their talents managing a high priority security program. This position will be located at our customer site in the Middle East and will require a minimum commitment of two years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Dedicated international travel is required for this position.
Responsible for the complete oversight and coordination of the program ensuring its ultimate success and acceptance.
Ensure that all programs and projects are closely aligned to the PMI?s PMBOK, the PMI?s Program Management Standard, and the PMI?s Portfolio Management Standard.
Identify, monitor, and report on project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s)
Manage the programs benefits, stakeholders, and dependencies.
Provide complete oversight of the project life cycle.
Coordinate and facilitate Project/Program Steering Team Committee Meetings and ensure detailed meeting minutes are captured and reported according to the program requirements.
Manage the project?s Scope of Work (SOW) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) ensuring that any changes are documented and approved according to the program?s established change control process.
Establish excellent customer relationships by building credibility, establishing rapport, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels throughout the organization.
Be intimately involved in the program?s human resource functions.
Be the programs point of escalation; responsible for leading problem resolution activities between internal and customer project teams.
This position will be located at our customer site in the Middle East and will require a minimum of a two year commitment.
BS or 15 years related experience managing a large portfolio.
5+ years of Sr. project or program management experience.
PMP Certification required.
Proven facilitation, presentation, and team leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal, time management, decision-making, and conflict management skills. Effective with conversing at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong data-driven records management and control skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs including MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Access.
This position requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes (e.g. flight delays, clients schedule, etc.). This position requires the individual to carry a company provided cell phone, be on call 24 hours a day and be able to travel with little notice.
MBA or advanced degree.
Previous experience managing AFIS deployments or other large scale biometric related programs highly desirable.
International business relationship experience desired.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, etc.; occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 30 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time.
Ability to operate vehicle/automobile for company errands
Ability to meet the physical requirements of approval for, and completion of, long-term international assignments to developing countries.
