Carena Program Managers play a dual role, managing both the product and the process
required to create, develop, and operate scalable software solutions for our customers. Our
Program Managers are critical team members with strong collaboration and leadership skills.
Our PM's work with our customers and partners to capture the critical needs and capabilities
our software must address.
Our PM's work with our Software Development Engineering teams to plan our software work
and then execute our plans. Our PM's work with our business teams to refine and communicate
our software product roadmaps. Program Managers on our Client Team focus on developing
end user experiences touching end user consumers of our services.
The Client Team operates across the breadth of Web and Internet enabled devices available
today, across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Carena Program Managers need technical agility and
an ability to become well versed in new technical approaches, as we leverage different
technologies to implement our client software vision. Carena Program Managers operate in an
Agile environment, acting as product owners and engineering team members. We develop
software iteratively using Agile methodologies.
? Collaborate continuously with business stakeholders to capture requirements and
? Collaborate with Software Development Engineering leads and managers to craft
and prioritize feature lists (e.g., product backlogs)
? Facilitate planning and record results of development iteration planning (e.g., sprint
? Manage development iteration communications during iteration execution
? Represent product requirements and "definition of done" for an iteration for the
? Coordinate the release gate for iterations with development team, stakeholders, and
operations (e.g., release management)
? Participate along with the team in operating software products and services in a live-site
? Experience managing Web applications, Web sites over multiple releases
? Experience managing Mobile applications over multiple releases
? Experience with Web servers, Web browsers, and Web architecture
? Experience with Object Oriented design and development
? Experience with SCRUM or other Agile software development practices
? Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills (at a system level)
? Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies rapidly (self starter)
? Experience collaborating with disparate business stakeholders
? Experience collaborating with executives and upper level management
? Experience collaborating with software development engineers and technical operations
? Excellent written and verbal skills
? BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related area
? 3 - 5+ years experience as a Program Manager on a Web application software
