The Role

Tesla Motors is seeking an incredibly sharp, fast on their toes Program Manager to manage the launch of our third generation vehicle, Model X. This person will coordinate over all aspects of the program for timing, quality and cost. This requires maintaining and adjusting overall program schedule, help identify, raise, and resolve concerns in regards to product development, supplier selection and readiness, manufacturability, and testing (e.g., durability, reliability, compliance)

Additionally, the program manager will leverage their experience to ensure the best possible value for Tesla in terms of funding requirements (tooling and ED&T) and part costs. This person will interact with multiple departments; engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, finance, and the rest of the program management team.

Requirements

• BS/MS in engineering from a top tier University.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive program management proven by successful model launch(es).
• Ability to work in an extremely fast pace environment and deal with multiple tasks at the same time.
• High tolerance (thrive) with ambiguity.
• Must be comfortable working in a startup environment.
