Program Manager Palo Alto Networks

The Program Manager will manage product release programs for PAN OS product line and Palo Alto Networks' hardware platforms, and coordinate cross functional initiatives, proactively identifying dependencies and driving issues to resolution.
Responsibilities:

• Manage product release programs for PAN OS product line and Palo Alto Networks' hardware platforms
• Coordinate cross functional initiatives, proactively identifying dependencies and driving issues to resolution
• Build schedules for the programs
• Effectively manage schedules
• Execute programs on-schedule, and to excellent quality standards
• Improve software product life cycle processes to facilitate high quality product releases in an efficient manner
• Coach and motivate team members to build accurate schedules while ensuring continued high productivity, teamwork and group competency
• Interface with engineering leaders, product managers, operations and customer support to plan for hardware platform introduction and major and minor software releases

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ (minimum) years of experience in software engineering and project / program /development management
• Experienced in software development and project / program management fundamentals (Software Development Life Cycles and Quality Processes, Scope, Cost, Schedule, Deliverables, Change Management, Risk Management)
• Strong system software background
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
• Passion for light weight, effective processes and methodologies that will improve the productivity of the organization
• Experience in effective management of resources without direct authority
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast paced environment
• Strong software engineering background with a passion for delivering high-performance, quality software
• Track record of coordinating development efforts on successful product releases
