Pivot3 was founded in 2003 on the idea that today's stack of virtual servers, shared storage and networks could
be converged to drive down complexity and cost while dramatically increasing scale-out performance. Today,
Pivot3 has over 600 customers across the globe deploying Pivot3 vSTAC? converged storage and compute
appliances.
Pivot3 products are deployed in the video surveillance and virtual desktop markets, and have seen particular
success in the public sector, transportation, gaming, education and retail vertical segments. The company has won
numerous awards and was most recently selected by the Wall Street Journal for the prestigious "2011 Next Big
Thing" category.
The position of Project / Program Manager provides project management expertise to both internal and external
teams including partners and end users. The individual will work on a wide range of projects that will be focused
on delivering projects within budget and on required timescales. The role will positioned within the Services
organization where the delivery of both Professional and Support services need to be delivered on an incremental
revenue and margin basis. This individual will be measured on their ability to build, track and close projects that
have associate dollar impact. Examples could include system installations, onsite consulting, remote deployments,
and custom design services. It is important that the candidate is able to navigate both sales, services, partners and
customers alike to ensure projects are tracked in tools and P&L impact can be measured. Additional projects can
include helping to roll out new process & tools to support the services infrastructure.

? Track record of delivering billable consulting projects, providing Statement of works, project deliverables,
milestone tracking and billable hours.
? Demonstrates innovative ideas and positive ?can-do? behavior in the workplaceHere are some of the important job duties:
? Develop & track projects ensuring all deliverables are being met and billable targets are being achieved by
the Solution Architects
? Able to use key tools like Netsuite, MS Project to communicate status of projects and escalate when
delays occur
? Engage with Sales on specific opportunities and ensure that Services is included in the scope of work and
with support from the SA?s ensure billable projects are being tracked.
? Assist in roll out of new project management tools and enable the Services organization to operate more
effectively on a global basis
? Lead small project teams on process improvement or projects to reduce costs within the Services business
? Assist on owning key knowledge base, resources to enable the SA?s to be more effective in delivery
repeatable consulting engagements.
? Enable projects that are being sold to include project management time as part of the deliverables and be
seen by end users and partners are a key resource to leverage on complex deployments.
? Work closely with key teams ? finance, operations, sales engineering and Engineering
? Creates knowledge-based articles and technical documents
? Listens, comprehend, and communicate effectively
? Can handle significant number of projects at the same time
Must Haves? for the job:
? Bachelor?s Degree
? 6+ years (prior field experience)
? Knowledge of Storage, Server and Networking
? Expert at Project management and able to use industry stand tools to communicate / track.
? PMP certified
? Experience with billable consultant engagements and understand how projects can be tracked &
delivered.
? Track record of delivering projects for a services business unit in small company or if in a large company
smaller business unit
Desirables:
? ITIL
? Experience with SAN/NAS products from similar companies (EMC, NetAP, Dell, Hitachi, IBM, HP)
