What We?re Looking For:2U, Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to work on the curriculum-production effort for our upcoming online programs. This is a full-time staff position with benefits located in our headquarters in Landover, MD.
The Program Producer will work closely with university faculty and with various individuals in 2U?s central, New York-based Content team to plan, build, deploy and maintain a series of content-rich online courses to be offered within 2tor?s Learning Management System (LMS). The challenges of the position are both creative and logistical, requiring on-your-feet thinking, a keen eye and ear for detail and the ability to oversee a system of many moving parts with grace and confidence. Candidates should have a track record that clearly demonstrates these capabilities. Applicants from any professional domain will be considered, but all those applying should have the following qualifications:
7+ years professional production/project-management experience
Some professional experience in film or video production
A working understanding of the basics of Web development
Excellent interpersonal and client-management skills
Content sensitivity and comfort with academic subject matter
Proven ability to deliver high-quality content, on-time and on-budget
Ability to learn the basics of unfamiliar technologies quickly
Extreme attention to detail
Key Responsibilities Include:
Partner with external clients (university faculty and staff) and internal colleagues to develop and execute course plans
Oversee future full-time production staff resources
Manage interns and freelance production resources
Manage relationship with outside video-production company
Take ultimate responsibility for delivery of video, rich-media and text assets that meet and surpass client expectations on quality
Manage Testing and Quality Control of all assets throughout the production process
Report to 2U's New York-based EVP, Content
