Aurora Flight Sciences Program Scheduler will report to the Aerostructures Sector Finance Manager and will be responsible for
developing project Integrate Master Schedules (IMS) and subsidiary schedules with project teams, controlling schedule baseline(s),
analyzing and maintaining schedules, and performance measurement, forecasting, and ad-hoc reporting.
Create and maintain the project schedule including tasks, resources, etc., using a work breakdown structure (WBS) in Microsoft Project based on the review of documented contract work scope and other customer, project team, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sub-contractor inputs.
Organize the scope into major categories and sequence major work priorities into a logical schedule determining the primary timetable for milestones and deliverables.
Collect schedule status from team members and external contributors to maintain IMS accuracy. Lead periodic status meetings and reviews as necessary to ensure IMS accuracy.
Develop and analyze the critical path that anchors the overall project completion date, develop workarounds to overcome obstacles in the critical path, identify schedule risks and develop risk mitigation plans, incorporate and analyze baseline change requests, and integrate constraints and evaluate schedule impacts. Suggest alternative solutions to resolve schedule conflicts and critical path disruptions.
Allocate resources, level-load schedules, and prepare staffing plans. Create budgets and spend plans based on the resource loaded schedule. Generate tasking reports for resource groups based on resource loading and time-phased reporting.
Collaborate with the project team to generate and analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) data including schedule and cost metrics (SPI/CPI), present results to various levels of management, and lead the presentation of the IMS to internal and external customers during Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and subsequent schedule reviews.
Maintain delivery schedules, receipts and payments schedules and forecasts, and support Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews making correlations between the IMS and EAC.
Develop schedules, conduct resource planning, and write associated narratives for proposals.
Perform other ad-hoc scheduling and resource planning.
Collaborate with the PMO team to prepare internal and external presentations using MS PowerPoint. Provide logistical support for monthly, quarterly, or ad-hoc customer meetings.
Draft memos, letters, email responses, presentation notes, meeting minutes, etc. as requested.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline is required.
A minimum of 3 years of scheduling/ERP experience with a government contractor is required. Experience in the defense/aerospace industry or in an aircraft design/manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with various contract types including FFP, CP, T&M, IDIQ, GSA Schedule, etc., is required.
Advanced knowledge and experience creating and maintaining resource loaded project schedules including critical path analysis is required.
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Advanced MS Project experience and strong MS Excel skills.
Proficient in the use of other MS Office products including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be a US Person.
Effective use of computers and general office equipment required.
Shift Requirements (specify if irregular work hours or shift work will be required):
Occasional overtime, nights and weekends, and up to 15% travel required.
