PulsePoint is looking for an experienced sales and business development professional to expand buyer relationships on our RTB platform as our Programmatic Business Development Director. This position is located in New York.
Reporting to the VP, Business Development, the Director, Programmatic Business Development will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, closing, integrating, training and managing new buying partners on across our RTB platform. Partners could include demand side platforms, ad networks, etc.
Lead our audience and premium programmatic sales efforts to agency and brand trading desks.
Work closely with the product, marketing and publisher development teams as the voice of the programmatic buyer influencing product enhancements and inventory sourcing.
3-5 years experience in media sales and/or business development in the display advertising industry at an agency, publisher, network or relevant technology platform
A deep understanding of programmatic buying and the digital media/ad network/monetization ecosystem
Great presentation and communication skills in client environments are critical
Track record of sourcing and closing complex advertising deals ideally related to buying platforms
Experience with large-scale buyers (e.g. ad networks, demand side platforms). Video & Mobile experience a plus.
Revenue focused, negotiation and analytical skills across contractual, technical and financial areas all pluses
High level of comfort escalating and presenting key deal issues to senior management
Strong understanding of, and interest in, the impact of Internet technologies on the consumption of media across the US and Canada. EMEA experience a plus.
Excellent partner communication and presentation skills and ability to quickly understand contracts with strong attention to detail
