Project and Content Manager-Social Business Council- Austin Dachis Group

Dachis Group is seeking a Project and Content Manger for the Social Business Council. The Project and Content Manager will plan, execute, and finalize Council projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This is a hands on position that includes strategy creation, planning, project management and direct execution of the work, as well as through acquisition of needed skills and resources. The ideal candidate will work well with minimal oversight and be comfortable with goal/objective oriented management.
Responsibilities:
-Drive content aggregation and curation for the Social Business Council community.
-Identify research topics and manage the creation, publication, and promotion of Council content assets.
-Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in
collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
-Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes
where necessary.
-Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other
stakeholders.
-Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the Council membership community.
-Track project milestones and deliverables for Council projects.
-Update status reports, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas involving project status or Council activity.
-Proactively manage changes and adapt business plan goals as needed.
-Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the
Council and Dachis Group objectives.
-Maintain helpful, diplomatic relations with all Council members.
Position Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, IT or Organizational Development.
-Three years+ direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all
aspects of process development and execution.
-Competent and proficient understanding of social platforms and social media.
-Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment is essential.
-Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and
problem-solving capabilities.
-Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
-Flexible during times of change.
-Ability to read communication styles of team members and Council members who come
from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
-Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
-Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper
management, members, and other departments.
-Ability to defuse tension among project team and Council members, should it arise.
-Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
-Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
-Excellent customer service skills are mandatory.
