We have immediate opportunities for Project Coordinators in San Jose, CA. There is one full time regular position and four temporary to full time regular positions available.
Project Coordinators (PC) coordinate and schedule projects for the Professional Services (PS) team to complete on time. They constantly communicate with customers and the PS team, manage statements of work (SoW), process billings, and verify all project data is entered into our ERP system.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day client interaction, and set/manage client expectations
Effectively apply project methodology and enforce standards
Maintain accurate schedules of projects and communicate timeline concerns and issues as they arise to the appropriate teams (FusionStorm Engineering Management and Customer Contacts) to assist in revising the schedule
Communicate and coordinate with Product Vendors and outside Solution Providers to set timelines and delivery of product and engineering, minimizing exposure and project risks
Schedule customer kick-off calls and maintain regular contact with all appropriate parties, which include:
Professional Services Engineers and their Management,
Customer contacts, and as needed,
Account Executives and Managed Services
Process and Manage Statements of Work (SoWs) for the practice(s) assigned to (may also be one or more regions/national) including:
Assign project number and enters into ERP system
Fill in appropriate customer and FusionStorm contact information
Review SoW for spelling and grammar and then prepares a final PDF file for presentation to the Customer
Maintain a list of Job Change Orders (JCOs) for the project as needed to meet changing needs/requirements and update the work-flow documentation and ERP system accordingly.
Communicate in a timely and accurate manner with all parties as to the progress and completion of each engineering engagement. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Process billings per the SoW and track Engineer time reported against the project for monitoring and reporting to appropriate FusionStorm management
Ensure project and legal documents are complete, signed, current, and properly stored
Other duties may include:
Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
Other duties as assigned
Essential Education / Experience:
3+ years experience with hands-on Project Coordination in the IT, networking, security, storage or telecommunications industry
Familiarity with technical concepts, terms and practices used in the deployment of IT, networking, security, voice-over-IP, wireless and other emerging technologies
Familiarity with project management processes such as ITIL and PMI are desired, but not required
Familiarity with FusionStorms capabilities
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Ability to collaborate with engineers and other highly technical talent to produce written documents for a technical audience
Ability to document processes and procedures
Excellent organizational skills and a focus on teamwork
Professional self-starter, able to work collaboratively with others
Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills
Must have a solid working knowledge of MS-Office and the Internet.
