POSITION: Project Coordinator (Financial Services)
DEPARTMENT: Project Management Office
LOCATION: Chicago
This is a mid-level position involving start-to-finish support of client on-boarding projects to ensure timely delivery of technology platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Attends, and potentially facilitates, internal and external project meetings to communicate project status and track updates on open items.
?Facilitates resolution of client questions, project tasks and open items, including research and coordination with corporate departments and internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
?Creates and maintains relevant client specific project management documentation utilizing standard templates such as Project Scope Statements, Open Items, Weekly Status reports, Risk Management documents, and Post Implementation Reviews.
?Working with the Project Manager and other project team members, aides in the creation and maintenance of a client-specific Project Plan.
?Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining business and client specific processes.
?Serves as a consulting source for project team who require assistance / information regarding processes and procedures.
?Supports pre-launch coordination efforts between client and Envestnet (U.S. and India QA) teams, including research and resolution of testing issues.
?May function as Project Manager on smaller / less complex projects.
?Supports the development and institutionalization of sound project management process disciplines and continuous process improvement by providing creative and proactive thinking with regards to existing processes.
?Updates standard PMO templates when new steps or changes to process are needed.
?Facilitates collection and summary of Post Implementation Review and survey data to identify trends and facilitate necessary changes to process.
?Assists Supervisor on an as needed basis, including support of new processes as dictated by department or corporate strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
?Minimum of five years financial industry experience.
?Extensive project management experience, including performing project coordinator functions and providing subject matter expertise on complex projects with external clients.
?Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
?Experience working with external clients on complex projects.
?Effective analysis, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
?Possess a broad understanding of current IT technical architecture.
?Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members and other members of the organization.
?Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
?Consistently takes on responsibilities outside of current duties.
