About the Job

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator I to support the Energy Efficiency ? Implementation Support team in our Des Moines, IA office. The desired candidate will have 1+ years? experience within residential, commercial and/or industrial industries. This position will be focused on supporting the recruiting, training and management of the trade ally network for MidAmerican Energy Company?s Energy Efficiency Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the organization?s technical outreach functions to promote energy efficiency through the creation and management of formal and informal trade alliance networks.
Consistently meets assigned objectives related to sales, marketing, inspections, communications, client satisfaction and other key performance indicators.
Understand utility organization and decision-making process.
Establish and maintain, at all times, professional client rapport, including identifying and anticipating client needs and proposing solutions.
Promptly and accurately address client concerns to assure problem resolutions and promote long-term productive relationships.
Communicate with trade allies and customers regarding program requirements.
Use Nexant tools to track applications and report on program metrics.
Conduct training and educational outreach efforts with trade allies who sell, design, install, and market energy efficient technologies.
Coordinate outreach activities including coordination and project management to ensure the event success.
Work in close coordination and concert with fellow local, regional and national company outreach representatives and managers to meet company and project goals.
Other duties as assigned.
1+ years? experience within residential, commercial and/or industrial industries
Have a high school diploma or equivalent and degree or certification program in a technical related field.
Completion of specialized courses in residential, commercial and industrial practices is a plus.
Demonstrated email and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
Ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required.
Technical aptitude, with the ability to appropriately apply technical service base to individual customer needs.
Strong and steady work history with 3 years in a Technical Service Industry background is desired.
Demonstrated aptitude understanding of Sales and Sales Structures.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast pace environment.
Knowledge of energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry is a plus.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Must have a valid U.S. driver?s license, insurance and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites.
