Job Description / Responsibilities
Engine Performance Simulation Engineer:
The L4 Engine Performance Simulation engineer is responsible for simulation of engine performance on new diesel engine development programs. Through engine simulation, the engineer will ensure optimal performance on diesel engines for construction equipment and other non-road applications by defining and ensuring engine technology meets requirements. Their duties include the following:
Develop, correlate, maintain and apply high fidelity engine models to support L4 Powertrain
Virtual product development and validation.
Perform work per project plan deliverables.
Provide results to engineers so they can recommend actions to resolve issues to achieve program objectives.
Communicate regularly with team to ensure understanding of objectives and results.
Document and archive all results.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with performance analysis on engine, machine, hydraulic, or drive train.
Skills with engine models such as Dynasty, 973, Enterprise, Destiny, ASM, GT Power, Matlab/Simulink, Ricardo Wave or similar tools.
Ability to create and troubleshoot a simulation model from physical systems of components
Minimum Education: BSME
Required Software: MS Office Suite, Experience with one or more of the following tools: Dynasty, Enterprise, Destiny, ASM, GT Power, Matlab/Simulink, Ricardo Wave.
Desirable Qualifications: Engine performance, engine testing & engine development experience are highly desirable.
Min Years Industry Experience: 2 Years
