FieldView Solutions, Inc., is looking for a Project Engineer to join our high growth, venture backed software startup in its Edison, NJ Corporate Headquarters.FieldView Solutions is the leading provider of real-time Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) data center monitoring software for business. We provide our customers with accurate, reliable information on all critical systems within their data centers, empowering them to make great decisions.
The Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and has overall responsibility for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completion of projects within area of assigned responsibility. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project
Plans, schedules and coordinates all activities related to the project
Corroborates with the Development Team to review project scope and content and modify project as necessary
Provides customer training, either one-on-one or to a group
Ensures all materials for the project are ordered and at the customer location for project installation
Prepares interim and completion project reports
Perform remote and on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting
Provides support to the Operations Manager as needed
Job Requirements:
5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity in an facilities or IT environment
Knowledge of facility systems, i.e., electrical systems and/or networks
A thorough understanding of data center infrastructure or technology
platforms is a huge plus
Strong planning, coordination and project management skills and practices; MS Project knowledge a plus
Proficient in MS Office Professional required
Well developed oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SQL or Windows Server a plus
50% travel within the US
