About the Job
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for Nexant's Wheaton, IL location. Successful candidates will be responsible for technical engineering support and project management for Nexant's Demand Management-Energy Efficiency ? Engineering Division. Specific responsibilities will include: reviewing technical reports, working with building owners participating in utility sponsored programs, attending and facilitating meetings, and other related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review and select sites for commercial HVAC and industrial process retro-commissioning projects
Manage on-time delivery of technical reports
Facilitate meetings with building owners, utility representatives, and sub-contractors
Communicate efficiently with subcontractors and clients to meet retro-commissioning program requirements
Review written reports, cost estimates, and energy saving calculations for commercial HVAC and industrial process improvement projects
Provide technical support for standard offer programs and energy auditing programs
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Electrical engineering, or similar
2-4 years? experience in a related field
An understanding of building systems (particularly HVAC), thermodynamics, and heat transfer
Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus
Energy auditing experience is a plus
P.E. and C.E.M. (or on track to receive) is desirable
