Project Engineer Seven Seas Water

Position Description and RequirementsProject engineer desired with relevant experience in the water treatment industry. Must have experience with reverse-osmosis system design, sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) experience highly preferred. Candidate must have mechanical design experience of various piping materials including PVC, stainless steel and FRP. Must also have experience with design of mechanical support systems for piping, valves, pumps and instrumentation.
Candidate must be experienced with all facets of project execution with primary focus on detailed engineering of reverse osmosis and related process equipment design.
Working knowledge of SWRO process and related processes is required.
Candidate will help design all new SWRO and related plants that the company builds.
Candidate will work on a project team under the direction of a Project Manager
Candidate is expected to be able to direct the work of mechanical designers, project assistance and other project staff as required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
-Specify for designers appropriate instrumentation, valves, pumps, piping ?etc to complete mechanical design of new water treatment equipment that the company builds or procures
-Direct and approve the work of mechanical Autocad designers completing mechanical and process drawings
-Assist in the development of process designs for plants including PFD & P&IDs
-As required, assist business development with costing on new plants proposed by the company
-Assist in the completion of operational procedures for new plants built by the company
-Assist in the completion of EHS and HAZOP reviews for new plants built by the company
-Work with equipment supplies to ensure proper component selection on company projects
-Organize and prepare project execution in conjunction of the Project Manager
-Construct detailed Bills of Material (BOM) for company projects
-Enter detailed BOMs into company ERP system and enter appropriate purchase requisitions using ERP system
Qualification/Requirements:
-Proficient in the use of standard business software such as Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
-Proficient in the use of AutoCad design software
-Expert in the reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings such as P&IDs, PFDs, and GA?s.
-Demonstrated
-Must be able to direct design personnel
-Must have solid mechanical engineering skills
-Process design skills are a plus
Education/Experience:
-College degree required
-10 years related experience in project engineering is required
-Experience in directing designers/drafters is required
-5 years related experience in the membrane-based water treatment industry is required
