Job Description
Plans, directs and coordinates daily activities to ensure compliance with the project?s timeframe and budget. Usually develops projects whose financial impact and importance is high, often above $1 million.
The job responsibilities include
Assists in the definition and documentation of the PMO processes
Provides all information relating to projects required by financial and management areas of the company, such as reports, project status summary, billing plans and deliverables, future resource requirements, etc.
Ensures compliance with the company rules, training plans, staff vacations, and keeps the morale and motivation of his team
Supports the Sales department by detecting and quickly reporting other business opportunities with current customers
Creates, collects and maintains performance indicators on assigned projects in order to make necessary adjustments
Estimates the number of people required for the execution of the project and ensures adequate resource allocation
Delegates tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate people
Ensures that the project meets the defined margin contribution and revenue recognition goals
Makes requests for software, equipment and other items needed in the project
Completes work achieving the objectives
Leads others and helps them to improve efficiently
Empowers through the work of others
Team player
Plans his work, recruits staff, assigns tasks, and motivates, trains and measures team performance
Establishes good relations with his boss, peers and teams, and develops reports to build an open and reliable dialogue
Evaluates the team members together with the Technical Leader, based on the Balance Scored Card, and provides annual feedback on performance
Manages the relationship and communications with customer representatives during the project
Ensures task assignment, objectives, goals and clear information about the project for all team members
The ideal candidate
We are seeking a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) individual with a bachelor?s degree in information technology, business administration or related fields (MBA is desirable), and a minimum of 5 years in similar positions. Full knowledge of project management, preferably with a formal certification or at least an approved course. Basic financial knowledge (budgeting, analysis and ROI metrics, cost control) is desired. Knowledge in the following technologies: .NET framework, ASP classic, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB6, VB.NET, Silverlight and Java/J2EE (desirable).
