Position Title: Project Manager Department: Consulting Services Date: December 2011 Manages Staff: No Positions Managed: N/A FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: Deliver successful customer projects through energetic and intellectual leadership. Understand customer project objectives and take ownership of Lawson contractual requirements defined in the Statement of Work. Manage resources assigned to fulfill those requirements using Lawson's StepWise implementation methodology, lead implementation planning, control project plan and overall execution, develop positive relationships with all customer project stakeholders creating a high level of customer satisfaction, and help the customer realize expected benefits. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Title: Project Manager Grade: SV4 Initiating and planning a project • Establish Lawson and Customer alignment to the project Statement of Work. • Identify any areas of scope and/or responsibilities that are not clearly defined in the Statement of Work and agree on a resolution with the customer prior to completing the Project Plan. • Identify project stakeholders and establish the communication plan. • Establish Lawson's StepWise methodology work breakdown structure with the customer. • Establish project roles and responsibilities with customer. • Align project requirements to resource competencies and establish the team. • Build project plan together with project team (MS Project). • Schedule the project. • Establish cost control plan and allocate the project budget. • Establish project risk plan. • Establish project quality plan. • Establish project change control process. • Obtain approval of project plans. • Communicate project responsibilities. Executing a project • Lead the customer and Lawson project teams to achieve project scope • Manage the project schedule • Manage customer expectations throughout the project • Manage project quality assurance activities • Develop required change requests • Manage project issues, identification and resolution • Manage project risks • Ensure Lawson's StepWise implementation methodology is applied throughout the project • Review and approve project deliverables • Manage all Lawson resources, including third party subcontractors, which will include writing peer reviews upon completion of project for each resource. Includes addressing any performance, delivery expectations, coaching to Lawson and/or client expectations. Escalate any personnel issues to upper management in a timely fashion Monitor and Control • Track project status and communicate status to both customer and Lawson organizations • Manage project change control procedures and update project baseline as required • Communicate project related organizational changes to the customer • Monitor and control the project budget • Monitor quality of project deliverables • Monitor project risks and communicate status of risk plans • Hold regular team meetings and provide feedback on performance • Present project status at customer steering committee meetings, as requested. • Obtain timely customer approval of invoices and insure payment on time • Manage the engagement to planned profitability target • Facilitate accurate and up-to-date consultant schedule information for all client projects by ensuring the Lawson Services Automation application is up-to-date for resource assignment, client opportunities, and actual time worked Closing a project • Obtain final project acceptance • Transition all project deliverables to Lawson Global Support (LGS) and/or Lawson Managed Services (LMS) • Survey project stakeholders and analyze results • Provide feedback to Lawson resources and execute procedure to release team • Formally close project according to Lawson procedures Title: Sr. Project Manager Grade: SV5 Same as above with additional focus on: • Manage complex, or high-profile projects that include most or all of the following attributes: *Multi national *Multiple operating units *Fixed fee *Performance based *Multiple client locations to be “brought live†*Project team size of 20+ resources including Lawson consultants, the client, and other third parties *Significant new technology to be implemented • Introduce new and/or additional Lawson products and services to enhance the client's business usage of Lawson while meeting the client's business needs via the change control process. • Teach/mentor project management concepts, processes and tools to others. • Participate in projects to continuously improve tools and processes for program planning and control. • Conduct Quality and Risk Reviews on projects. EDUCATIONAL/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications: Project Manager • 3 years software application project management experience • 6 years ERP project experience • Prior experience working with, and/or coordinating the efforts of multiple parties (e.g. third parties or clients) on large scale software implementation projects • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly-changing environment • Possess a high degree of project planning, organizational skills, and systems integration expertise • MS Office skills including MS Project • Possess knowledge of the market to which they are assigned, including: industry, trends, the applicability of Lawson products within the target market, and key competitors. • Understanding Lawson's strategic directions and technology • Proven ability to effectively work with key client project team members along with setting appropriate project expectations Sr. Project Manager Same as Project Manager plus: • 5 years (total) software application project management experience • 8 years (total) ERP projects experience • 5 years supervisory experience • Served as a Project Manager for ERP projects for companies with $1B in revenue or extensive Lawson experience • Has functioned as a Team Leader for both functional and technical teams • Prior experience working with, and or coordinating the efforts of multiple project entities (e.g., third parties or clients) on large scale software implementation projects Preferred Qualifications: Project Manager • 3 years supervisory experience • Business consulting experience • Certification as a PMP from PMI • Advanced skills in MS-Project Sr. Project Manager • Serves as a Project Manager for ERP projects for a multi-national, multi location, or multi agency implementation or fixed fee implementation • Business consulting experience in a specific function/business process area • Previously served as a Project Manager for ERP projects that had more than 20 FTE's assigned to the project PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • General office environment • Ability to do regional, national and international travel (up to 80%) • No special physical demands In compliance with the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), should you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a currently open position with Infor, please call (678) 319-8000 or email us at ADAAA@infor.com.
