PROJECT MANAGER - BIOLOGICS Pioneer Surgical Technology
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED POSITION: For a given project, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all requirements are appropriately defined and understood. This will involve coordination of product realization activities through cross functional teams to deliver product that meets these requirements.
LOCATION: Woburn, MA
Manage assigned projects from the project?s inception to its completion.
Confer with customers (Sales/Marketing, Distribution, and Clinical Advisors) and management to verify or modify product requirements.
Draft the product realization process for each project (project charter) and maintain a consistent review process to meet/exceed expectations.
Coordinate development activities utilizing cross-functional teams.
Deliver tracking documents (e.g. Gantt charts) identifying critical path to project teams and management personnel.
Track and report project budget.
Comply with design control requirements including design history file development &amp; maintenance.
Prioritize the activities of Technicians and Engineers assigned to each project.
Consider company capabilities, state-of-the-art parameters, and technical possibilities for each project.
Identify key risks and solutions to project schedules.
Review and study technical publications, papers, products, and applications of competitive companies in order to maintain an engineering competitive edge.
Bachelor of Science Degree required, preferably in mechanical, chemical, or biomedical engineering
Mandatory experience of 3-5 years in regulated industries including medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals
Project management experience preferred
Experience with and/or formal training in effective project management tools
Familiarity with project management software (preferably Microsoft Project)
Familiarity with design control including risk management, verification, and validation activity
PERCENT TRAVEL REQUIRED 5% - 10%
Office environment with daily, extended exposure to computer screens
Lab environment with periodic exposure hazardous materials and machinery
Occasional time spent in operating room environments for observation of surgical procedures
Essential job functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting/standing for prolonged periods of time.
