Project Manager - Commercial Avanir Pharmaceuticals

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager - Commercial will work closely with numerous functional leads (Sales, Managed Markets, Marketing, Commercial Analytics, IT, Finance) and be responsible for supporting and coordinating various commercial initiatives, including sales and managed markets meetings, internal sales projects and initiatives, sales training programs, field follow-up, pull-through intiatives, customer driven projects, and other commercial projects.

In addition, the Project Manager will provide support for Sales and Manged Markets tactics such as managing meeting logistics, and facilitating materials / presentation updates including assembling and disseminating comprehensive resource materials (e.g. key data, presentations, publications).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate commercial meetings, preparation of agendas and meeting materials, and recording meeting minutes.

Organize the RFP process including, but not limited to, scheduling of capabilities presentations, participate in negotiation meetings, and coordinating contract review and approval process for various vendor relationships in support of the Companys lead product candidate, NUEDEXTA.

Keep key stakeholders informed of project timelines and requirements by providing status reports to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.

Liaise with the Finance department to ensure proper accounting practices including budget tracking, cost analysis, and overall program management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry with a combination of experience in marketing, sales and/or project management.

Knowledgeable in budget processes; purchase orders, invoices, managing multiple cost centers.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).

Self-initiative to follow-through on completing assignments in a timely manner with reliable and accurate work quality.

Effective collaboration with different departments.

BA or BS required.
