We?re looking for a Project Manager on our Content Curation team. Your job will be to operationalize the sourcing and tagging of content for our open platform. We are looking for leadership in refining our curation processes and, ultimately, our community management practices as we support users in teaching, learning, and contributing content to the product.
This is a cross-disciplinary role, equal parts consulting, technical, and educational. You?ll engage with a variety of OER content, subject matter experts, teams, and workflows. ? Coordinate short-term and long-term forecasts for content curation tasks, allowing the team to see when and where the gaps are
? Work with internal staff ? including Content Curators, Adaptive Instruction Analysts, and Engineers ? to corral necessary information into transparent and actionable formats
? Research third-party vendor solutions to various and sundry content curation problems, including data entry, standards alignment, and LaTeX rendering
? Develop relationships with vendors and maintain any documentation needed for external workers to perform these tasks accurately and at scale
? Ability to analyze data, grapple with data structures, and devise logistical solutions for both people and machines to do the same
? Experience in and passion for the field of education, and an ability to think broadly about the intersection of technology and education
? Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables and messy data, in situations where only limited standardization exists
? Strong organizational skills and capacity to communicate in cross-functional groups
? Extremely scrupulous attention to detail and ability to instill the same ethic in others
? Exceptional logical skills
? Exceptional written skills in English
? 1+ years of project management experience, preferably at the intersection of education and technology
? 1+ years of experience dealing with grade 7-12 educational content ? through work in a content development role or full-time teaching experience in a classroom
? Spreadsheet wizardry a must; information architecture, systems engineering, industrial operations, or engineering experience an enormous plus
? Professional experience with educational standards, instructional design, and the educational technology landscape a plus
