Project Manager LightEdge Solutions
Position Overview
The Project Management position with LightEdge Solutions will be responsible for managing the installation of all MAC, general access, voice and basic hosted services contracts signed by our customers. This individual will manage these contracts from submission through billing ensuring the utmost accuracy is maintained. They will manage all aspects of the project including but not limited to contract entry, facilities orders, team management, scheduling and billing accuracy. They will be the main point of contact for those customers whose contracts they are assigned until such time as it is handed off to our NOC or SAC departments.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Strong understanding of our access, DSL and voice products.
General understanding of our Hosted Services products and their application.
Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
Enters all features from the contract accurately into the billing software.
Follows standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises these as the project matures.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Has the ability to lead multi-person teams at different levels within the company.
Reviews deliverables with the team before relaying them to the client.
Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
Minimizes our exposure and risk on a project.
Understands our pricing model and billing procedures.
Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
Holds regular status meetings with project team when appropriate.
Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner.
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Manages day-to-day client interaction.
Sets and manages client expectations.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs.
Clearly communicates applicable dates to the clients regarding installation timeframes.
Sends appropriate documentation to the client pertaining to the project being worked.
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
Builds a knowledge base of each client?s business, organization and objectives.
Ensures any changes are reflected accurately on addendums.
Accurately bills customer for services per contract and notifies customer of billing date via e-mail.
Seeks to participate in development opportunities above and beyond training required by LightEdge.
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Experience and Skills:
3 ? 5 years? experience in a telecommunications environment.
Fairly detailed understanding of Project Management skills
Ability to handle multiple projects with varying degrees of difficulty.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must be analytical and detail oriented
Ability to communicate with all levels of personal within LightEdge and our customers.
PMP Certification recommended.
