To help us extend our lead in the Identity Management market, Courion is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Team. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Courion?s solutions. The Project Manager drives the client implementation, manages all phases of the solutions delivery lifecycle, and works with the Client project manager to manage project risk and resolve issues that stand in the way of project success.
The Project Manager plans and manages solution implementation projects to the scope of the customer contract. Throughout the project the Project Manager leads Courion and/or partner resources to work with the customer?s technical and operations staff. The Project Manager is expected to play an integral part in developing and maintaining Courion?s relationship with the customer?s project/executive sponsor.
In managing solution delivery, the project manager uses an established methodology common to all Courion services engagements and is responsible for the development of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project plan, staffing plan, weekly & executive status reports, issue logs, etc.).
The Project Manager is accountable for meeting project profitability with on-time completion of project milestones. The Project Manager is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of Courion?s Professional Services best practices. The Project Manager may be called upon to take part in pre-sales activities.
Responsibilities:
Become an expert in Courion?s Implementation Methodology and use it in all engagements.
Demonstrate competency in the Courion product suite.
Project manage multiple, concurrent project implementations ensuring projects are properly planned and staffed.
Provide guidance and mentoring to the Professional Service resources assigned to work on the implementations.
Manage and motivate team members to achieve business goals.
Developing and maintaining relationships with customer executive sponsors, project managers and implementation teams.
Document goals and accomplishments for each customer.
Add to the Professional Services best practices standards via templates and reference documents.
Work with the client project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
Work with Courion PMO to ensure compliance with agreed to project checkpoints.
Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
Ensure the client leverages Courion?s best practices.
Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation.
Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Customer Support.
Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
Present client with change orders in the event they're asking Courion to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW.
Identify opportunities to position other solution offerings.
Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW.
Requirements:
Minimum education: BS degree, technical discipline preferred (MIS, CompSci) or MBA with technical focus.
10+ years of project management experience with the majority focused on enterprise application implementation and deployment with executive customer relationships.
Proven experience with large and complex enterprise implementations.
Professional Services experience in software product company.
Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
Must be highly articulate, energetic and accountable.
Passion for customer success.
Excellent writing skills and experience in generating thorough consulting reports.
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
Strong technical aptitude (information security, IT Operations, IT infrastructure).
Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.
Up to 50% travel on average (US)
Highly Desirable:
Operations management experience in large enterprise IT environment.
Working knowledge in one or more of these areas: Identity & Access Management, Access Governance & Compliance.
Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus.
Previous service sales experience a plus. Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.
