Blu Homes, a leading clean-tech company, is seeking qualified applicants for a Project Manager position in its Operations group. Blu engineers, manufactures, and sells high-tech, ecofriendly prefab homes that are designed to take advantage of smaller spaces and intelligent design for more responsible ecological and economic footprints.
This position will report directly to the Senior VP of Operations. The successful candidate will manage construction projects across the western US with a focus on the greater Los Angeles area. S/he will maintain high-level as well as granular oversight of the successful execution of multiple projects involving managing project teams (consisting of representatives from sales, design, manufacturing and finance).
Key Responsibilities:
Able to create nurturing, positive relationships with regulatory bodies, state and local permit offices, and consultants, as well as similar relationships across Blu?s multiple offices and departments;
Perform client site visits and assessments, scheduling, budgeting, interactions with local building and planning departments, permitting processes, coordination with local general contractors and other activities;
Strong communications skills; timeliness, organized, and high attention to detail;
Very strong organization, management, and scheduling skills are essential to the position;
Regular short-term travel is required.

Experience and Education:
3-5 years minimum experience; relevant work experience in construction management, building materials, design, home building, the prefab home industry, green products, or other similar experience;
Structural, civil or architectural engineering is a plus;
Minimum bachelor?s degree.
