Project Manager ApoCell

ApoCell is a molecular diagnostic testing company located near the Houston Medical Center. ApoCell has proprietary core technology used to facilitate the development of drugs in clinical trials and predict patient response to therapy. We are searching for a highly motivated and ambitious person who is interested in joining a rapidly growing company.
This position ensures the contracted services and expectations of a project are carried out by the ApoCell project team in accordance with the executed contract and the customer?s expectations.
Acts as a primary liaison between ApoCell and the Customer to ensure study launch, conduct and closeout according to the Customer?s and ApoCell?s contractual agreement. Ensures the study is progressing according to internal and Customer quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to fulfill all federal and local regulations.
Serves as the project team leader. Facilitates team building and communication. Acts as a liaison and facilitator between other departments within ApoCell for project related tasks and/or issues. Plans and projects resources required across all areas for studies.
Manages multiple projects ranging in size and complexity. This includes management of resources, budgets, tasks, risk, and quality.
Manages the executed contract and financial aspects of assigned projects/programs as needed. Supports Finance in the development of project invoices by providing project specific details in a timely manner and conducts project close-out financial analysis, ensuring any resulting project close-out invoices are issued.
Maintains effective communication with the Customer and project team through oral and written correspondence, project status reports, and monthly progress reports, and ensures adequate documentation of each communication.
Independently prepares information for internal review meetings.
Maintains and evaluates project progress by maintaining timelines and other tracking/analysis tools. Produces and distributes status, resourcing and tracking reports as well as functional area plan, to appropriate team members and senior management.
Networks to acquire new and/or repeat business with designated accounts.
Supports the Business Development Department by providing information on ApoCell services capabilities, as well as providing BD with customer information related to potential new business opportunities or expansion of managed project scopes.
Assist in the presentation of project status and data during Customer meetings.
Education ? Minimum B.S. or equivalent in Science, Business, or related field
Good organizational, management and people skills. Good computer skills with mid-to-advanced level in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
Must be able to communicate effectively with scientists, lab personnel, project managers, company management and customers
Professional Certification ? not required but project management or other equivalent would be beneficial
Five or more years? experience in science or related discipline is preferred
