WHO ARE YOU?
Direct activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals.
Define and document project scope and objectives.
Facilitate regular status meetings and creation of accurate and timely project status reports for distribution to executive sponsors.
Coordinate with other business units and vendors to ensure goals are met.
Prepare SOW for clients.
Develop, define and execute project plans and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints, and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.
Manage customer expectations to successfully deliver project.
Primary customer contact from project inception thru project completion.
Accountable for comprehensive knowledge of client specific configuration.
Responsible for understanding the core application and staying current on its functionalities.
Serve as training backup to Business Analyst with ability to lead training when necessary.
Build and strengthen relationships with Vertafore clients by supporting their initiatives, requests and facilitating IT related problem/resolution.
Manage scope and matches project plan and estimates to deliveries.
Ensure that changes to scope, timeline, and budget are managed appropriately through a formal change control process.
Responsible for recommendations that determine customer time and expenses.
Demonstrate personal initiative and leadership, ability to coach and mentor staff.
Ability to manage and execute multiple efforts effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Detail oriented; demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
Familiarity with product life cycle.
Experience with rapid software development methodologies preferred.
Knowledge of relational databases.
Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
Excellent presentation, written and verbal, communication skills: demonstrated ability to present to groups, clients, and executives.
Ability to support training requirements in a backup capacity.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with people at all professional levels.
5 years Project Management experience preferably in a SaaS company.
5 years hands on experience planning, coordinating and directing all aspects of a project from initiation to closure.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field.
PMP certification (desired but not required).
