Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is a member of the PMO and reports to the Senior Vice President, Operations. This position is responsible for driving corporate IT related projects in support of the Corporate IT Solutions team. This position is responsible for Business Integration of IT systems that align with the GlobalScholar Strategic Plan. This requires management of all aspects of moderately complex to complex IT projects, including project initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing. Also responsible for integration, scope, time, cost, quality, communications, and risk management.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
IT Project Management
Provides leadership, guidance and project management expertise to plan, monitor and implement projects to ensure project is completed on time, within budget, and within scope. Leads the project team to utilize appropriate project management tools and processes; ensures project management best practices are utilized and key learning's are captured.
Writing Business Requirement's Documents, capturing needs of all stakeholders.
Coordinates project team assignments and monitors progress against the work plan to assure that objectives are met within the prescribed time, cost, and quality measurements. Receives escalations from project team members and acts to resolve; responsible for escalating items that cannot be resolved at the project level. Monitors and manages the quality of deliverables. Responsible for documenting the project requirements in a Business Requirements Document. And assuring sign off of stakeholders.
Develops and manages a Change Management / Risk Management Plan with the participation of the project team; takes appropriate action to address issues and risks. Follows up routinely on all issues and risks for the project and communicates concerns / impacts to Program Management / Project Sponsor / Executive Sponsor
Serve as the primary interface and focal point for communication with Executive Sponsor. Interfaces with impacted stakeholders and Executive Sponsor to ensure objectives and customer-focused requirements are defined and aligned with company directions.
Provides expertise to other team members to assist in problem resolution.
IT Metrics
Responsible for developing and documenting Corporate IT metrics, measuring and score-carding.
Participates in Monthly IT Reviews, prepares communications and updates on the status IT projects and metrics
PMO
Best practices
Keeps up-to-date and educated in skills related to all project management, process productivity, and quality improvement initiatives and ensure this information is disseminated throughout the process.
Educates team members in project management and process improvement principles, methods and processes and tools and provides input to team members' performance appraisal process.
Education & Knowledge Required
3+ years in Business Operations Project Management. Bachelors Degree preferred (Business Administration, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of project management theories and practices.

3+ years in Business Operations Project Management. Bachelors Degree preferred (Business Administration, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience.
