Project Manager, Information Technology (MO)
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Project Manager is responsible for business initiative definition, process analysis, design and delivery of key strategic projects withing the organization. Will also providing project leadership and management for a variety of complex business and technical projects and issues for the Company and its subsidiaries. The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined time lines and budgets. To this end, the SPM performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, coordination of all resources and stakeholders; setting deadlines; assigning responsibilities; and monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of the project to executive level leadership.
Define current and future state process mapping
Organize appropriate team members across organizations and assign operating protocol
Plan projects in order to accomplish goals within constraints such as time, cost, and quality
Schedule tasks, deadlines, and milestones for all stakeholders and resources
Assess uncertainties and risks as well as identify mitigation strategies or plans
Run the project(s) on a day-to-day basis; driving results
Coordinate and direct the activities of Application Development, Quality Assurance, Corporate Analytics, and other resources as necessary
Disseminate production and project information to the team and stakeholders, including coordination of communication across functions
Efficiently and competently manage problems (from scope, missed requirements, changed deadlines, etc?) and work with stakeholders to bring the project back to spec.
Evaluate deliverables to ensure the work meets requirements and maintains a high level of quality
Evaluation and Reporting:
Analysis of project for profitability or benefit
Creation and maintenance of production processes; recommending and driving changes as necessary
-Regular communication; written, verbal, and presentation styles, to executive levels of leadership to update as to results
-Obtain, discuss, and follow through with feedback from customers/stakeholders
-Articulate design rationale and function strategy with a high level of authority as it relates to accomplishing goals
-Investigate and answer customer questions as well as provide training when needed
-Support and help trouble shoot work delivered during the project, as well as post-project
-Ensure customer/stakeholder expectations are met, and exceeded, in terms of quality and service
-Coordinates the development of new systems or applications, as well as modifications to existing systems as necessary
-Provides directional and technical guidance to IT team members
-Diagnoses and corrects system problems with occasional help from technical support team
-Applies working knowledge of technology such as operating systems and programming languages
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field coupled with a Master's Degree in Business
Administration or related field. Equivalent related work experience for the combined degrees is acceptable.
5 years experience as a Business Consultant, Business Analyst, or Project Manager.
Proven ability to coordinate and deliver projects.
Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Proficiency in all MS Office tools (Outlook, Visio, Word, Excel)
