Manager of Implementations
We are looking for the right candidate to assist in the definition, delivery, and support of technical infrastructure projects, including business requirements, functional requirements, resources, schedules, delivery milestones, and overall quality. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating enterprise hosting implementation projects for new and existing clients.
The ideal candidate will be technology-centric with a strong operations background and have development exposure or experience as well as a strong grounding in practical applications of ITIL principles. This position requires the ability to direct and balance a variety of diverse requests, priorities, and activities. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of both the business needs and the technologies being utilized to implement the business solution and a proven track record of driving operational improvements in service level and service quality for production customer facing Internet services.
Job Description / Responsibilities
Identify client needs and performance standards
Customize programs to meet customer needs
Work closely with other team members & departments to ensure client needs are met while meeting internal objectives
Develop timelines and documentation regarding new implementation process to ensure seamless client experience and surpass client expectations
Participate in implementation meetings and updates for clients to ensure timely communication and project completion
Manage activities of external agencies involved in implementation to provide client with seamless and optimal service delivery.
Must have a sound understanding of a wide variety of methodologies and be able to adapt quickly to apply the right processes and procedures to make your projects a success
Must understand the underlying technologies and risks/constraints of such technologies
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Success at achieving advanced technology goals on-time and on-budget
Strong project management skills - advanced knowledge of MS Project, XLS and Visio
Excellent communication skills: ability to define deeply and communicate what needs to be done, and successfully drive it to completion
Laser focus on detail and unrelenting drive to improve service quality
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers across all departments within Layered Tech

Education / Experience
5+ years of technical project management experience in a fortune 500 company in a large scale production environment
4+ years experience in operations role supporting production customer facing Internet service
3+ years experience managing at least one of the (ITIL) service support processes: incident, problem change
Project management or sales engineering experience
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
