Responsibilities:
Drive tactical direction for all projects and product launches with department managers and key stakeholders.
Create detailed project plans clearly identifying the relationships and dependencies between work tasks and departments using standard project management tools. Create high-level summarized versions for Executive Team.
Identify resources necessary to accomplish project tasks and the appropriate work effort required from those resources. Direct all personnel resources necessary for the project. Monitor progress of all tasks in the project plan.
Create regular project status reports to distribute to Executive Team and the organization to bring about transparency.
Partner with multiple company departments and external team members to ensure solutions meet all business needs. Must be able to work with Technology, Operations, Merchandising, Finance and Marketing departments to ensure business requirements can be properly supported.
Assist with defining and documenting Project Objectives and Strategic Approach. Lead the documentation of all detailed requirements.
Prepare effective written correspondence and present information in a group setting. Communicate frequently with management and business partners to clarify and resolve issues/concerns. Occasionally, present to executive staff.
Create change requests for unplanned critical project work and partner with key departments to assess level of effort. Update team on any associated impact to launch timing.
Maintain proper lines of communication across entire project team. Distribute project support documents, management tools and meeting documents.
Manage expectations across all departments after project scope has been agreed to. Capture and record new requirements deemed not critical for launch for future project upgrades.
Foster increased collaboration for project development and implementation across all departments.
Establish and manage company-wide process for all large scale new business launches leveraging industry best practices while ensuring a speedy implementation.
Design and maintain the project filing systems and document storage and distribution guidelines.
Qualifications:
4+ years experience managing ecommerce website and product launches; retail experience a plus
Proven track record of managing multiple projects
Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation and meeting leader skills
Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills
Self-starter / self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint skills required. Proficient in MS Word and Outlook
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to work independently and build strong relationships with functional team partners.
