We're looking for an experienced, resourceful project manager. You'll join our product team to facilitate the rapid development of incredible online media products. On a daily basis we'll expect you to be awesome at these responsibilities:
Be the principal driver of your projects and relentlessly move them forward
Work with one or more cross-functional sprint teams of designers and developers
Aggressively identify and remove impediments that interfere with the ability of the team to accomplish their sprint goals
Organize project planning, daily stand-ups (scrums), reviews, post-mortems, sprint and release planning, demos, etc.
Collect feedback and interpret trends in order to promote continuous improvement
Track and communicate team velocity and release progress
You?re a friendly, creative problem-solver who is passionate about pragmatic productivity. Specifically, you:
Take direction and run with it as the most resourceful person on the team
Communicate well and excel at fostering communication between team members
Love rapid iteration because you're obsessed with shipping products early and often
Know how to motivate a team of creative technical folks to do their best work yet
Understand how to trust and empower your peers to self-organize
Have no fear and can use your common sense to overcome project challenges with effective action
Know that your job is to enable people, not a process
And (of course) are organized and detail-oriented
Ideally, you also:
Have worked on consumer web software products, specifically digital media, and have opinions about how to make incredible experiences
Have helped turn requirement backlogs into working functionality on technology project sprints for 3+ years
Have experience working with remote team members
Seek out feedback on how to improve what you do
Are extremely comfortable in the fast and fun work environment of a tech/media startup
Keep up with trends in social media and web application development
Do interesting things when you're not working
Other bonuses:
Know a bit of HTML/CSS, maybe even a programming language
Passionate fan of sports, gadgets or games
