About the Project Manager position:
The Project Manager is a key member of the Granicus Managed Events department. Reporting to the Program Manager, this Project Manager will ensure company resources are utilized appropriately. Coordinates Managed Event schedules, manages project meetings, identifies and resolves technical problems, and monitors and summarizes progress of Managed Events. Project Manager will also prepare reports for management regarding status of Managed Events.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Work with clients, vendors, contractors, and Granicus team to ensure the delivery of successful Managed Event projects.
Identify and analyze resource requirements, project scope, and deliverables.
Coordinate project activities and ensure all phases are documented appropriately.
Monitor Managed Events where appropriate to ensure quality assurance.
Motivate and supervise contractors/vendors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, vendors, contractors and clients.
Work with stake holders to identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise from project deliverables.
Research and recommend software tools that will improve efficiency within department to Program Manager.
Conduct project post mortems and report recommendations/improvements to Program Manager
Work with Program Manager to determine growth opportunities and department efficiency methods.
Prepare project status reports and work to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
Education and Experience for the Project Manager Position:
Education: BA / BS in Business, Project Management, or equivalent
Experience: 2-5 yrs in a project management role or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills for the Project Manager Position:
Strong project management skills
Strong customer facing skills
Understanding of webcasting technologies and troubleshooting
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with audio/visual equipment and setups
Experience working with collaborative projects and systems
Experience with webcasting solutions
Experience with Granicus Mobile Encoder Solution a plus
Experience managing a small team a plus
Experience working in a SAAS model a plus
Experienced in vendor relationships a plus
