About the Job
We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our San Francisco, CA office in the Distribution Grid Management Consulting Group of the Grid Management Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing System Power Analysis, Business Process Assessments and System Capacity & Reliability Studies for utility, public agency and Oil & Gas Production clients. We are looking for an exceptional person who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative, and challenging work environment. Successful candidates must demonstrate ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage 1-3 full time engineers and/or analysts that will conduct system impact evaluation studies, power flow analysis, capacity and reliability studies, perform measurement and verification activities, review energy engineering projects, perform statistical analyses, and write reports.
Manage day to day aspects of projects including quality of work product, client communications, budget, schedule, and directing technical staff.
Mentor and train entry-level engineers/analysts.
Maintain quality control of all deliverable products, demonstrating excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining project schedules.
Maintain client relationships, lead meetings, develop scopes of work, and present results.
Develop new business opportunities and write proposals.
Meet overall budget and profitability targets.
Bachelors or Master?s degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering or business administration.
Minimum of 6 years professional work experience within a utility and the electric power industry.
Experience in evaluation, scientific or statistical analysis techniques.
Direct experience in project management role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deliverable deadlines and budgets.
Excellent technical, analytical, written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
P.E. and C.E.M. (or on track to receive) is desirable but not required.
