What We're Looking For:
The Project Manager, Scrum Master will serve as the central hub for technology project planning; combining expertise in project plans, schedule analysis and presentation, to manage resources across all technical projects.
This individual will work closely with various Technical Project Managers, the Release Manager and the Director of Software Development to understand what resources are required & when across projects, in order to manage the master project plan for the department projects. While the Technical Project Managers manage individual projects, the Scheduler manages resources across projects. They will work closely with the Technical Project Managers to adjust this cross-project resource schedule based on changes in business priorities, project scopes, resource availability, etc.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Scheduling resources across Technology department projects
Creating and managing a master project plan for the Technology department
Facilitate communication across Technology teams around resource planning
Participate in the development and maintenance of periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) status reports to keep Management informed on project planning progress and any potential resourcing conflicts
Work closely with Technical Project Managers, the Release Manager and the Director of Software Development to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of each change to the schedule in a timely fashion
Support the development of process flows, policies, procedures training material and scheduling best practices
Working knowledge of general project management principles
Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet tight deadlines
Very good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Candidates who possess both higher education/higher education technology and project/product management/scheduling backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Bachelor?s degree required
Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Project, Ganttic, OmniPlan or like scheduling tool
Demonstrated schedule analysis skills is critical
Significant prior experience managing an integrated scheduled fed by multiple sub- project schedules
Experience in project management required, specific project management experience working with SDLC strongly preferred
