Summary: HelloWallet is committed to providing all Americans with access to a secure financial future. The Product Team is responsible for innovating new products and features to help our users build wealth and make the most of their employer-provided benefits. We are currently seeking a Project Manager / Scrum Master to guide our product developmet efforts. Key Responsibilities:
Organize and facilitate sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, mid-cycle demos, release demos, daily stand-ups, and other team meetings
Facilitate effective, efficient and focused meetings and conversations (and resolve conflicts, as needed)
Remove obstacles / impediments in a timely fashion
Maintain information radiators that keep stakeholders and developers informed (we use Jira)
Foster a culture of self-organization, open feedback and constant improvement
Anticipate bottlenecks and address them in advance
Serve as an evangelist for Agile / Scrum within HelloWallet
Train new employees on Agile / Scrum
Publish and maintain Agile process documentation
Track and communicate team velocity
Skills / Qualifications:
At least 1 year of full-time scrum master experience, preferably in a startup environment
3 years of project management experience
Thorough understanding of Agile software development principles and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively, under little direction, with developers, product owners, designers, UXers, engineering managers
Understanding of technical issues in a software development environment
Ability to simultaneous scrum multiple teams at once
Interest in continuously improving our product development process through experimentation with new methods / techniques
Big plus: experience with Jira
Supervisor: reports directly to the SVP, Product.
Location: The position is based in downtown Washington, DC.
