The Project Manager will be working with multiple teams in gathering information from requirements / specs to incorporate into project management tools for task tracking and scope management as well as reporting on progress and assisting in release management of software development. Resource utilization, scope management and effective communication are key attributes.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills and Experience
?Demonstrated project management expertise; development of accurate project budgets and schedules to meet aggressive turnaround requirements;
?Knowledgeable in Web based software solutions.
?Experience using Visual Studios ? Team Foundation Server for project management is preferred
?Strong verbal and written communication skills in the context of solution development deployments, software implementations and handling applicable project level documentation, specifications, project plans, status reporting, open and issue resolution, change control, scope containment.
?Background in Software solution development and deployment is preferred.
?Business and technical background to articulate and present system solutions, and abilities to decompose into working project plans for successful software solution deployments and implementations.
Soft Skills
?Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
?Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
?Minimum of 5 years IT enterprise software systems.
?Previous higher education experience preferred.
?4 years in project management implementing enterprise software systems.
?Solid people management skills.
Responsibilities
?The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes.
?The Project Manager is responsible for coordination and completion of assigned projects. As such they will perform a variety of tasks including establishing scope, delivery content, delivery sequencing, establishing deadlines, tracking responsibilities, , monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.
?The Project Manager is accountable for product delivery and is expected to drive projects toward achieving the intended business results within projected time and budget.
?The Project Manager develops and prepares and maintains all project plans, project status reports and project schedules in accordance with industry best practices and currently used methodologies.
?The Project Manager will be responsible for more than one project at a time.
?Understands the business needs / requirements of the product and considers this in making decisions and recommendations.
?Develops, fosters and maintains open, professional relationship between product managers, software development team leads, and developers.
?Establishes and implements an appropriate project management plan (PMP) and infrastructure to accomplish project objectives and goals.
?Working with team leads will help apply task estimates, time frames, and resources requirements.
?Provides direction to the project team so that team members' activities are focused on the correct priorities and that mandatory reporting requirements are satisfied within the required timelines.
?Develop a thorough understanding of the products which are implemented during the projects.
?Conducts project reviews to validate estimates, schedules, budgets, and associated work products.
?Provides feedback and advice in determining and implementing appropriate changes and project direction; works in conjunction with product management and product development to ensure changes are appropriate.
