Project Manager Internet Broadcasting Systems
Position Statement:The Project Manager is accountable for the planning and successful execution of quality projects on deadline and within budget, while meeting requirements and customer satisfaction. Responsible for management of multi-disciplinary project teams and communication of project objectives, scope and deadlines between IB staff and customers.
Essential Functions:
Ability to understand, collaborate and manage multi-disciplinary teams including clients, web development, product, client services and executive management members.
Perform day-to-day management of project teams including project priorities, objectives, deliverables, risk assessment and issue escalation.
Create and manage project plans. Gather requirements and conduct business analysis. Prepare client estimates, schedules, scope of work, progress reports, etc.
Manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines simultaneously.? Projects include both short and long term projects, ranging from high urgency daily projects to multi-month projects including new client onboardings and web site redesigns.
Ensure that project status, completion of deliverables and issues are documented.
Lead team meetings, maintain project calendar and ensure open issues are resolved in a timely manner.?
Plans for and controls quality by reviewing items before delivery to client.
Conduct project postmortems and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications & Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Required:
Bachelor?s degree required.
Digital experience is essential. At least 2 years demonstrable experience in an interactive environment of leading projects to successful completion. Experience and knowledge of website technology, design and production. Basic knowledge/experience with content management systems and HTML/CSS needed.
Experience with news media, web development and/or product management a plus.
Experience with developing detailed plans for complex projects with changing requirements, limited resources and fixed deadlines.?
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and priorities with frequent interruptions.
Expertise in project management concepts, procedures and project tracking systems. Hands-on experience with tools for project, risk, issue and resource management.
Strong client facing skills including understanding client needs, maintaining client relationships and building partnerships.
Ability to develop strong professional relationships, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Must have outstanding written, verbal, listening and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Eager to learn and willing to assist in web site builds using a content management system.
Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Responsibilities infrequently require working evenings and weekends.
