The Project Manager is in charge of managing a portfolio of Bit9 implementation engagements from project management delivery perspective. This includes project planning, deliverables tracking, client relationship development, client team member management and oversight, team progress, project status, budget reporting, decision making, meeting facilitation, and other project management related activities.
Depending on the structure of the project, the Project Manager leads Bit9 solution architects and technical consultants to ensure successful customer implementations of the Bit9 product. The implementations include organizational and operational work streams along with the technology deployment. The Project Manager also provides input and maintains project management documentation as it relates to project delivery.
The Project Manager is comfortable living in the customer's realm as well as building a partnership with cross-functional groups throughout Bit9. A strong desire for success and a positive demeanor is essential to this job. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the service-oriented nature of this position, knowledge of security technologies and best practices, and proficiency in Windows and IT technologies.

Essential Responsibilities Include
Effective project management of Bit9 services engagements
Lead Bit9 services implementation project team (solution architects, technical services consultants) for each implementation
Manage a portfolio of projects
Work closely with customer project managers to document success criteria, project milestones, action items, and issues
Adapt project management approach depending on type of implementation and customer needs
Think strategically about customer success and adapts approach based on individual customer needs
Create and maintain all project artifacts, including project plans, issue logs, status reports, agendas, meeting notes, SOWs, RACIs, swim lanes and process flows
Identify dependencies and integrate into work breakdown structures and project plans
Communicate effectively at both the executive and project level to ensure consistent messaging and appropriate escalation
Project status reporting at both a project team and executive level
Manage and report on project hours and budget
Manage to statements of work
Work closely with customer project team to solve implementation issues
Work with Bit9 Technical Support and Engineering (when appropriate) to ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner
Drive action items to resolution with speed and quality
Foresee risk and implements mitigation strategies
Facilitate customer design workshops
Scope services engagements and write statements of work
Work strategically with sales on enterprise prospects to creates presentations and present services offerings
Provide market and product feature input to product management and engineering
Responsible for maintenance of best practices and methodology documentation
25-30% overnight travel

Qualifications & Requirements
BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
5+ years field project management consulting experience
Proven ability to lead a technical services project team
Ability to translate customer needs into technical, operational and organization solutions
and recommendations
Ability to handle/manage multiple simultaneous engagements
Highly motivated with strong communication, organization, facilitation, presentation, reporting, and writing skills
PMP or equivalent work experience in project management
Experience with multiple operating systems, security policies and terminology
Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures, configuration, and management
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows configuration and management
Knowledge of IT security technologies and best practices
Experience with various types of training content development/maintenance
Proficient in Windows, XP, 7, 2003/2008 server and supporting technologies/products
Understanding of SQL and SQL Server
Skilled in MS Project and Visio
CISSP certification a plus
Help desk or ITIL service management a plus
