The Strategic Initiatives team is a high-impact program management organization within Consumer Operations. The function of the team is to identify & implement strategies for successful rollout of out new initiatives, incremental revenue generation, cost-cutting, and/or increased operational efficiency.
The Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives, is responsible for initiating, defining, and executing strategic projects for the Consumer Operations teams. S/he functions as the primary organizer, planner, facilitator, and communicator of all project related meetings and tasks so that Operations directors, managers, individual contributors can focus exclusively on executing in their respective area of specialization.
? Manage department-wide communication on a standardized cadence
? Manage the onboarding process for new hires and facilitate continuous training of teams
? Liaise between internal & external teams by funneling & processing requests in and out of Operations
? Maintain departmental intranet site by ensuring regular updates and fresh content
? Plan and manage projects for major initiatives
? Provide effective documentation, reporting & communication of project status
? Drive projects forward by obtaining buy-in, setting expectations, holding teams accountable for delivery, and keeping things moving quickly
? Think critically and holistically about cross-departmental implications of all projects, taking into account the varying interests of each team
? Leverage deep knowledge of Operations processes to anticipate delays or bottlenecks and address them promptly
? Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout various departments and leverage a strong internal network to champion the Operations cause
? 3-5 years of proven experience managing projects and/or working in various online advertising operations roles
? Prior experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and the flexibility to embrace ambiguity
? Strong process orientation & demonstrated experience solving operational challenges through optimization of process and/or development of products
? Strategic thinker who can understand the tactical elements of a project but also remain focused on bigger picture strategy
? Prior experience interacting and engaging with senior level management and the ability to manage upward to drive projects forward
? Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and the ability to distill large quantities of information into streamlined, easily digestible formats
? A natural ability to facilitate meaningful discussion amongst large groups and keep teams focused and on track
