As a Project Manager, you will lead the design through implementation of all projects and deliverables within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for completing a variety of small to large scale projects and implementing projects within a short turnaround. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills and experience in leading technology projects with an onsite / offsite development team. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, self-directed and have solid interpersonal communication skills. The candidate must also come up to speed quickly and develop a broad and deep understanding of our technology platforms, services and tools.
Required Experience
3+ years as a Business Analyst, Project Manager or Business Systems Analyst with experience working on technical products
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into technical application and operational requirements
Proven experience documenting and tracking detailed product requirements, bugs and issues
Exposure to software use test cases and software quality assurance processes
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Experience in a fast-paced development environment
Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills
Ability to work independently
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
Job Description
Candidate defines the scope of a project, owns and manages project goals, risks and issues
Produce deliverables such as specifications, process flows, wireframes, and mock-ups
Identify and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Must establish and manage a detailed plan (schedule) to ensure the project is completed on time and meets company goals
Heavily involved with setting up recurring status meetings with internal and external teams, fielding questions from the business, as well as handling issues that arise
Execute acceptance tests for completed product features to ensure quality and completeness, including ownership of functional and non-functional testing and sign-off
Monitor site performance and suggest improvements in site designs and experience
Schedule and lead training sessions for all users
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish product requests from the underlying true need
Perform requirements traceability for each release to ensure requirements are present in all aspects of the system
Chair and document meetings and track action items to closure
Track and manage product management approvals and sign offs
Technical Knowledge
Familiarity with project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Visio, Quickbase, Basecamp, FogBugz, etc.
Basic knowledge and understanding of SQL query language is a plus
1+ years experience with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop is desired
Proficient with analytic/database tools which include Microsoft Access, Excel or Tableau (ideally)
