Job Description:
The national cable world moves quickly and when a network wants to implement our products, it needs a team that can help them get organized and design a system to meet their requirements. WideOrbit is looking for a Project Manager to consult with our clients and oversee large, complex implementation projects. Since our customers? demands upon our product are extremely varied and dynamic, the Project Manager will work very hands on with network clients directly and and educate customers on various configurations and/or customization while maintaining their confidence in selecting the best software product in the industry!
Here?s what you?ll be doing:
Leads the planning and execution of large, complex implementation projects.
Determines resource needs and works with department managers to identify and manage client project team members? responsibilities during the execution of the project.
Communicates delivery timelines and milestones through Project Plans to all necessary departments
Works with WideOrbit Department Managers, WideOrbit Project Team, and Client Project Team to ensure on-time deliverables, including delivery of General Acceptance software
Monitors and modifies Project Plans as necessary and communicates changes to WideOrbit and Client Project Teams
Pinpoints changes in resource or budget resulting from Project Plan modifications and communicates internally
Facilitates team and client meetings
Holds regular status meetings with project team and Director, Client Process Initiatives and Delivery
Escalates any concerns or risks to Director, Client Process Initiatives and Delivery
Conducts regular status meetings with client team and committee meetings with client and WideOrbit executives
Provides clients with progress reports and other project related reports
Ensures project documents are complete, current, organized and accessible
Manages client relationship and communication
Here?s what we?re looking for:
Ability to understand a client's business and goals for the project and quickly grasp business workflow and processes
Media industry experience. Experience working for or with a cable network channel is highly preferred.
Proven ability to be organized and show sharp attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a cross-departmental team
Knowledge proposal and inventory management systems used by national cable networks
Ability to build and maintain collaborative client relationships
Travel as necessary up to 50%
Location:
We would ideally like this person based in New York; however, we?re open to someone telecommuting or based out of one of our other offices with travel to New York in addition to the standard travel.
