The successful applicant for the Project Test Analyst position will have a strong understanding of SDLC testing methodologies and software testing techniques.This position is based in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities
Test VA medical / clinical system applications and workflows.
Compare project requirements to test cases and test case scenarios and report on discrepancies.
Organize and compile test cases and scenarios.
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an automated framework for developing test scripts.
Assist in the following areas of configuration management (SCM):
Code promotion
Baseline maintenance
Patch updates and version control
Configuration audits
Preparation of Functional Configuration Audit Report & Version Description Document
Use of Rational tools suite
Assist with process improvement methodologies.
Assist in the following areas of quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC):
Perform defect analysis and thorough reporting and tracking.
Discuss and explain issues with the project team.
Perform Quality Gate and Risk Impact Reviews.
Assure consistent testing processes and procedures; document test results; compile and report metrics; provide management summaries
and analysis.
Package QA approved artifacts according to the deployed sequence and promote them accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful Project Test Analyst applicant will have a strong knowledge of the following:
Software testing using automated testing tools
Configuration management
Quality assurance and quality control
Project management processes
Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) package
Desired Knowledge and Qualifications
Healthcare clinical application(s)
VA clinical workflow
VA ICD?9 & 10
VistA and/or CPRS architecture
Productivity Tools
MS Project
Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest and ProPath
Automated test tools (i.e., TestComplete)
