Voltage Security is looking for a proposal manager who is responsible for driving the management, development, review and delivery of proposal responses for RFI/RFPs (RFx) via a base of technical knowledge in the data-security space along with a keen writing ability using company-provided resources and tools. This role leads activities including RFx response outline, proposal management, and solution development and is responsible for providing clear, concise, persuasive solution write-ups clearly articulating Voltage?s unique value proposition. In addition, the role will be responsible for the construction of an online repository and tool to facilitate RFx responses. The successful candidate will have the capacity to translate complex technical solutions, strategies, and win themes into easily understandable, readable, and compelling responses; ensure messaging consistency for proposed solutions to prospective customers across all RFx deliverables; take the lead in enforcing efficient, effective authoring processes to meet proposal expectations; and minimize obstacles and risks.Detailed Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with sales, product management and product marketing to develop strategic concepts and themes, ensuring solutions are properly positioned in RFI/RFP responses and customer communications.
Leading the proposal-content story and response-development sessions with key stakeholders to clarify the approach and products being proposed.
Reviewing customer specifications and bid requirements for completeness and obtain clarification from solution teams in preparing responses for the RFx.
Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and deliverables for proposal efforts.
Writing proposal responses by analyzing requests and interfacing effectively with sales and solution teams.
Acting as a focal point for collection of information from various sources and participating in the definition, creation, and maintenance of a central document repository of relevant materials.
Driving proposal reviews, including determining appropriate participants, reviewing timeliness, and integrating appropriate comments/modifications.
Required Skills:
5 to 7 years experience in authoring all or key portions of technical responses for RFx.
Excellent facilitation and communications skills.
Ability to work on concurrent RFx responses.
Proven ability to interface with senior executives.
Expertise in Microsoft Office, including the creation of templates.
Advanced Microsoft Word skills. Experience with other publishing software such as Adobe Acrobat.
Desired Skills:
Previous experience with developing and maintaining a library and other proposal tools and assets that is reusable.
Previous experience in data-security or related industry.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and online RFP content repositories.
Creative document-design ideas and innovation in presenting information in new ways.
