Description:

The Prototype Fabricator will work to build advanced designs of Tesla Motor's all electric vehicles. The successful candidate in this role will take design concepts from paper and create working prototypes of vehicles, components, and other products.
Must have experience using the following

mig Welder
tig Welder
oxy-Acetylene torch
metal Lathe
milling Machine
press Brake, and other sheet metal tools
automotive hand and power tools
tube bender, notcher
precision metrology tools like calipers, mics etc.

Must have experience in the following

automotive or race car fabrication.
unibody modification
reading precision engineering plans and drawings
Microsoft windows, and Office Suite
automotive electronics and wiring
materials knowledge

The ideal candidate would have experience in the following

Solidworks or other CAD software
Automotive technician experience
CNC machining
High voltage automotive experience
Electric Vehicle or Hybrid vehicle experience.
