The Publisher Services Specialist is part of the Publisher Services team and a subset of the Content Services group that is responsible for meeting the company?s business objectives for post-contract content acquisition. The Publisher Services Specialist works with publishers to ensure that titles are received in a timely manner and meet the ebrary submission guidelines. Publisher Services Specialists are responsible for managing all aspects of content intelligence (from publisher?s annual output to DRM rules) for designated publishers. Specialists also work closely with other members of the Content Services group to manage the content workflow and resolve any content issues that may arise.
Some of the things that you will be doing:
Owning the day-to-day production relationships with our publishing partners.
Managing the content workflow, ensuring that publishers' titles are received in a timely manner and in compliance with ebrary's submission guidelines.
Resolving content issues that may arise concerning publishers' titles.
Managing all aspects of content intelligence (from publishers' title output to DRM rules) for assigned publishers.
Bringing new publishers on board, helping with technical questions, setting them up in ebrary's systems, and processing contracts and amendments.
What you?ll have experience doing:
Familiarity with ebooks, and knowledge of the related formats and standards (PDF, EPUB, ONIX, etc.).
Experience building and maintaining relationships with vendors, partners, etc.
Project management experience, and the ability to juggle multiple moving parts.
Publishing industry experience (especially in a production environment).
Technical aptitude and the ability to explain the technical to the non-technical.
Strong proficiency with Excel, FileMaker, and PDF.
