THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining company-wide purchasing initiatives. The position will focus on cost containment, by ensuring that products and services are ordered at the lowest possible cost, achieving on time delivery to clinics and corporate departments, without jeopardizing quality of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the Experience.
Achieve improvement in procurement performance by delivering year to year cost savings and long term recommendations.
Track and report key supplier metrics.
Works directly with internal customers to define specific needs and requirements.
Solicit bids, place orders, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products/services.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Research and resolve vendor disputes, including pricing or product issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies.
Create and maintain vendor lists, purchasing policies and procedures for the field.
Act as point of contract for all field related purchasing questions.
Assist with maintenance of national vendor contracts.
Other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge of healthcare market and group purchasing activities.

Minimum 3 years work experience in Purchasing.
College degree preferred.
Healthcare knowledge and experience preferred
Excellent computer and technical skills, especially Excel, and proficiency using various software systems
