- Support IT purchases along with facilities, construction, floor consumables and other non-production requirements as needed.
- Analyze supplier spend and develop overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Identify process and toolset improvements.
- Realize cost savings and supply base management goals.
- Negotiate terms and prepare contract documents with suppliers.
- Evaluate and select best value supplier.
- Study market prices and trends.
- Place purchase orders and change orders.
- Follow up with suppliers to meet delivery dates.
- Create documentation for processes.
- Prepare presentations.
- Analyze procurement data and report metrics.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline required.
- 3-5 years purchasing/MRP experience required.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Remarkable problem solving skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, especially MS Office Suite.
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
- Conducts all activities with the highest of integrity.
