Purchasing/Strategic Sourcing Manager Achates Power
The Purchasing/Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing the company's supply base for engine development programs. The successful candidate will:Manage on-time procurement of components, materials and consulting
Oversee requests for quotes, supplier selection and ordering
Monitor supplier performance
Work with the engineering and manufacturing teams to estimate and optimize the cost of the engines
Interface with customers' purchasing departments on joint development programs
Develop the company's purchasing processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign educational equivalent
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of on-the-job purchasing experience for new development programs, preferably in the automotive industry
Knowledge of engines
Proficiency in Microsoft Project
Desirable Skills:
Advanced engineering degree
MBA or equivalent
