PV Technician (TCO)
Job Description
The PV technician will perform a variety of skilled electro-mechanical functions on equipment used to produce thin film PV panels in an advanced, continuous line factory. Their primary responsibilities will include:
Set-up and operation of equipment by balancing defined controls with tool functionality to achieve optimal process results.
Operation of equipment to ensure manufacturing commitments are met
Repair and preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure effective operation
Provide input into design changes that increase performance capability including throughput, process, uptime, and cost reduction Willingness to flex to multiple tool sets or job roles as needed to support priorities
Develop documentation to support equipment operation and experimental work (i.e. work instructions, maintenance guides, SPC charting, operational logs, etc.)
Provide training for new operators and technicians on processes and equipment
Utilize proper safety procedures and protocols to ensure an injury-free work place
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will be familiar with high volume manufacturing and will show competence in the following:
High vacuum systems maintenance
Mechanical systems maintenance
Electronics and systems-level troubleshooting
Ability to follow work instructions, PM documentation, and product specifications
Basic SPC concepts and use of SPC methods to identify process issues
Implementation of routine process corrections based on SPC results
Understanding of quality control standards and processes
Ability to work night shift (backend)
Job Qualifications:
AAS in electronics, instrumentation, or related field but may accept HS diploma with extensive work experience
2 ? 3 years directly related work experience in a technical field such as semiconductor, LCD, or PV manufacturing
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong math skills
Outstanding writing and verbal skills
Team player that demonstrates adaptability for changing work environment and new challenges
