PV Technician (Contract)
The Photovoltaic Technician will operate production tools and perform all necessary operations to assemble solar panels. The Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance functions on a day to day basis to include any maintenance of sub-systems related to the production process. Successful candidates will have experience working with chemical dispense systems, metrology equipment, and/or electro-mechanical tools. This poisitionwill be an intense, hands-on position. This is a Contract to possible Perm position.
SHIFT:
After am extensive training period, this position will be a night shift and will receive a 12.5% shift differential.
SCOPE:
Operates, monitors, and maintains process chambers along with conducting routine and periodic checks utilizing relevant tools and test equipment.
Assist in the repair and maintenance of process chambers as required.
Perform routine electronic equipment calibration and perform preventive maintenance utilizing digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and soldering techniques
Troubleshoot and isolate electronic equipment malfunctions possibly to component level including servo motors, encoders and motion control systems
Must maintain a clean and organized work environment
Ensure all safety and environmental procedures and activities are followed
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of AAS Degree/Military Training in electronics; 3-5 years related technical experience
Must have Experience troubleshooting chemical dispense systems/ metrology equipment/electro-mechanical tools in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills, utilizing effective trouble shooting and problem solving techniques must be demonstrated
Familiar with SPC controls and data interpretation
Computer literacy, demonstrated in the effective use of spreadsheet reporting techniques
Strong work ethic, displaying attention to detail, initiative, adaptability, and integrity; team player
Ability to work unsupervised at times and to exercise sound professional judgment
Cooperative nature and the ability to work in a team environment
Lifting and handling of materials, components and products up to 50 lbs
